How perfect is it when one of your very first senior portrait clients come back to you for wedding photos? Spoiler alert - absolutely perfect! So when Luba told me that she was engaged and that she wanted little ole me to be her wedding photographer, I was all too excited to say YES! ABSOLUTELY!
Luba and Dallin had a gorgeous wedding at St. Paul Church last month and then took their reception over to Valley River Inn. The weather was on and off all day long, but it was clouds at just the right time for some perfect family portraits and then beautiful sun at just the right moment - as the bride and groom emerged from the church. It was all meant to be and executed flawlessly thanks to the military precision of Green-Eyed Girl Productions wedding coordination (secret service ear mics included!)
The day was filled with joy, love, and celebration. Dallin and Luba traveled home to Eugene from Minot, North Dakota to have their wedding and it was clear to see why; the outpouring of affection and appreciation embraced the couple all day long. From the first look (with half the relatives peering through the adjacent window!) all the way up to the relentlessly awesome dance party on the dance floor. The day was also filled with inside jokes (my favorite) and an early full moon (and yes, I'm referring to a groomsman mooning my camera during wedding party pics! That was a first and hopefully a last!)
Amongst all the wedding day festivities were Luba and Dallin - sneaking each other kisses, squeezes, and hugs all day long...and even a lick or two (seriously, Dallin licked her cheek during portraits.) The love these two share has been long and grown deep - high school sweethearts making good on their promises for forever. Dallin and Luba, thank you so so much for having me as part of your gorgeous wedding day. It was an honor to be a part of!
